Morocco, Côte d’Ivoire Sign Action Plan in the areas of Environment, Sustainable Development

Rabat – Morocco and Côte d’Ivoire signed on Friday in Rabat an action plan for the period 2017-2019 as part of the implementation of the cooperation agreement in the fields of environment and sustainable development which was concluded on January 20, 2015, in Marrakech, before HM King Mohammed VI.

Signed by the State Secretary for sustainable development Nezha El Ouafi and the Ivorian minister of Urban Sanitation, Environment and Sustainable development, Ouloto Anne Désirée, the action plan focuses on the exchange of experiences between the two parties on environmental and climate governance, green economy and industrial waste management.

This action plan also includes the participation of Moroccan and Ivorian officials in training sessions and the implementation of joint actions, the State Secretariat for sustainable development said in a statement.

The choice of Côte d’Ivoire as a guest of honor at the 9th edition of Pollutec Maroc Exhibition is part of the implementation of this action plan, the source added.
