Sahel Climate Commission: First Conference Kicks Off in Niamey with Morocco’s Participation

Niamey – The First Conference of the heads of State and Government of the Climate Commission for the Sahel Region opened Monday in Niamey, with the participation of a Moroccan delegation.

The opening session was marked by the message sent by HM King Mohammed VI to the participants in this conference, which was read out by minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nasser Bourita.

The Climate Commission for the Sahel region was set-up in November 2016 in Marrakech at the Africa Action Summit, held at the initiative of HM the King on the sidelines of the COP22.
