French Pres. Offers HM the King Work of Art ‘Mare Nostrum : La Traversée’

Marrakesh, 15/11/2016 (MAP) – President of the French Republic, H.E. François Hollande offered HM King Mohammed VI, on Tuesday, a work of art entitled “Mare Nostrum : La traversée” (Mare Nostrum: The Crossing).

Carried out by French artist Jean Dunant, this work of art represents a cartography of the Mediterranean Sea, an area shared by Mediterranean countries.

These countries share a territory, a past and a future which they should preserve for next generations.

The President of the French Republic is accompanied by chairman of the French constitutional council Laurent Fabius, COP21 president Ségolène Royal and France’s ambassador to Morocco Jean françois Girault.
