Heads of State and Govt. of Climate Commission for Sahel Commend ‘Pioneering’ Role of HM the King

Niamey – The heads of state and government of the Climate Commission for the Sahel commended, on Monday in Niamey, the pioneering role of HM King Mohammed VI and his vision for a “strong and resilient” Africa.

In the final statement issued after the first Conference of the Climate Commission for the Sahel, the heads of state and government “praised the pioneering role played by HM King Mohammed VI and his vision for a strong and resilient Africa as well as the leadership and availability of Morocco, a founding partner of Africa’s three climate commissions”.

Morocco, the statement added, “has always worked for ambitious south-south cooperation capable of ensuring the harmonious and sustainable development of Africa”.

The heads of state and government also welcomed the initiative of HM King Mohammed VI to promote the creation of the three Climate Commissions in Africa and the Sovereign’s commitment to their operationalization.
