15th Energy Conference Wraps Up

Rabat – The 15th Energy Conference, organized by the Energy Federation with the support of the ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, wrapped up Monday in Rabat.

This meeting, marked by the presence of several high-profile personalities, was an opportunity to highlight the Moroccan experience in the sector of energy, draw up a progress report, discuss future prospects of a highly strategic sector and take stock of the new energy demand, amid the health crisis and its repercussions on the economy on a national, continental and international scale.

Speaking on this occasion, the president of the Energy Federation, Rachid Idrissi Kaitouni, described this meeting as “exceptional” having been marked by relevant interventions, an objective debate and above all a “constructive” dialogue.

He also pointed out that all the recommendations issued at the end of the conference focus on the imperative of contributing to the development of a more ambitious national strategy on energy, with a view to making the Kingdom a regional leader in the area of renewable energies.

Organized under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, the 15th energy conference was also an opportunity to discuss the experiences of Morocco and the United Arab Emirates, guest of honour, in renewable energies. It thus constituted a step in the dynamics of strengthening cooperation and developing partnerships between the two countries.
