8th Islamic Conference of Environment Ministers Kicks Off in Rabat
Rabat – The 8th Islamic Conference of Environment ministers opened Wednesday in Rabat.
The opening ceremony was marked by the message sent by HM King Mohammed VI to the participants in the conference, which was read out by minister of Culture and Communication, Mohamed Laaraj.
Held on the theme “Role of cultural and religious factors in the protection of the environment and sustainable development”, the conference brings together environment ministers of member countries alongside representatives of several regional and international organizations.
The event will address several topics, including the implementation of a strategy to activate the role of cultural and religious factors in the protection of the environment and the achievement of sustainable development goals in the Islamic world.
