COP22 Generated Over 760 K Tweets Until Thursday

Marrakesh, 17/11/2016 (MAP) – The COP22, which will run in Marrakesh until Nov. 18, generated a total of 760,000 tweets in the Twitter social network, according to website “climatetalkslive.org”.

The figures are continuously growing and reached on Thursday at 5.30 p.m. over 214,000 tweets, 537,000 re-tweets and 9,000 commentaries.

The most influential participants are the United Nations Organization and the World Bank, and the top trends and hashtags are #parisagreement and #climateaction.

Among the most influential leaders who posted COP22 tweets are Spanish head of government Mariano Rajoy (21 mln followers) with 8 tweets, Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta (12 mln followers) with 6 tweets and the French president (6.5 mln followers) with 2 tweets.
