Morocco Participates in 16th Arab International Conference on Mineral Resources in Fujairah

Fujairah – Morocco is taking part in the 16th Arab International Conference on Mineral Resources, which kicked off Tuesday in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, under the sign “Mineral resources, foundation of national development”.

The Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development participates in this meeting, as well as the accompanying exhibition with a special pavilion highlighting the achievements of the Kingdom in the mining sector.

The Kingdom will chair the second working session of the conference. The Moroccan geologist Ahmed Manar, head of the department of applied geology at the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, will participate in this conference with a presentation under the theme “Geoscientific data and their role in mineral exploration”.

This three-day meeting will also see the participation of Mohamed Ghaouati, professor at the Mohammed V University of Rabat, through a presentation on the role of mining in environmental protection and sustainable development.

For her part, Faouzia Hussein Abdellah, professor at the Department of Geology of the Hassan II University of Casablanca, will speak on the theme: “Geology, mining and economic potential in the southern provinces of the Kingdom: The cases of the Reguibat shield and the Ouad Dlim massif”.
