Morocco, Leading Country in Fighting Climate Change (Ambassador)

Paris, 02/11/2016 (MAP) – Morocco is a leading country in the fight against climate change, President of the Francophone Ambassadors Group in Paris, Senegalese Ambassador Bassirou Sene, said.

Speaking at a meeting held by Morocco’s embassy in Paris with the Francophone Ambassadors Group to present COP22 program and challenges, the diplomat highlighted the various initiatives launched in the Kingdom to promote sustainable development and renewable energy.

In this regard, he stressed that Morocco is a country known in Africa for its commitment to sustainable economic and social development, voicing his conviction that the organization of COP 22 in Marrakech will be successful especially with the entry into force of the Paris agreement.

Sene also said that COP 22 will be an opportunity to take several measures and commitments and devise an action plan on the financing.
