Dakar: Morocco Participates in Ministerial Meeting of 18th African Conference on the Environment

Dakar – The Ministerial Segment Meeting of the 18th African Conference on the Environment (AMCEN) opened, Thursday in Dakar, with the participation of representatives of African countries including Morocco.

The Segment of Ministers of AMCEN was preceded by the meeting of experts held from 12 to 14 September in the Senegalese capital.

Participants in this 18th conference, held under the theme “Securing people’s well-being and ensuring environmental sustainability in Africa”, are looking at ways to ensure a people-centered recovery through environmentally friendly actions that create jobs and improve livelihoods.

The meeting is an opportunity for participants to review environmental opportunities and challenges in Africa in the post-Covid-19 era. It is also an occasion to discuss other issues related to sustainable development on the continent.

Morocco is represented at this 18th African Conference by a delegation led by Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, Leila Benali.
