Morocco’s Dam Storage Capacity Reaches 45% by End-November (Ministry)

Rabat, 30/11/2016 (MAP) – Dam’s storage capacity in Morocco reached 45% as of November 30, that is a total storage of 7 billion cubic meters (m3), according to the Department of Water.

This is due to heavy rains in the country between November 21-30 and snowfall in mountainous areas over the same period, the Department said in a statement.

It also expects continuous improvement of the storage capacity during the next few days, thanks to upcoming precipitation, which would contribute to ensuring drinking water to a large number of regions and a good agricultural season in the various irrigated areas.
