BMCE Bank of Africa Gets EBRD Sustainable Energy Gold Prize

Rabat, 12/05/2017 (MAP) – The BMCE Bank of Africa was awarded the EBRD Sustainable Energy Gold Prize, on the occasion of the annual meeting and the business forum held on May 11 in Cyprus under the theme “Targeting Green and Inclusive Growth”.

In a statement, the bank said that this is a new international recognition for its commitments and achievements for sustainability and positive-impact investment. The award will reinforce the bank’s positioning as a leader in sustainable financing and a stakeholder promoting green and responsible economy.

BMCE Bank of Africa brings concrete answers to achieve Sustainable Development Goals by providing its customers with positive-impact financing lines for energy efficiency and renewable energy, and the protection of water resources, it said.

The Bank was also elected for the 2nd time as “Most Active Partner Bank in Morocco”, as part of the EBRD Trade Facilitation Program for the year 2016.
