Rabat: Draft Agreement to Promote Energy Transition in Morocco
Rabat – The Policy Center for the New South (PCNS) and Enel Green Power Group (EGP), a renowned operator in the field of renewables, signed, on Tuesday in Rabat, a draft agreement to promote energy transition in Morocco.
Under this agreement, signed by president of the PCNS Karim El Aynaoui and Werther Esposito, Country Manager (Morocco) of the EGP, the two parties commit to work in close collaboration in the field of renewable energy development, through joint analytical research, conferences, seminars and round-table meetings on the topic, and the exchange of experts.
During the signing ceremony of this agreement, El Aynaoui and Esposito welcomed this partnership between a great operator in the field of renewable energy and energy transition and the PCNS, which is a platform for academic analysis and expertise.
They said that this agreement marks the start of a fruitful partnership through which they intend to use their respective expertise to promote the development of renewable energy and energy transition in Morocco and the rest of the African continent.
The Policy Center for the New South is a Moroccan think tank aiming to contribute to the improvement of economic and social public policies that challenge Morocco and the rest of Africa as integral parts of the global South.
