Ministry of Education, AMEE Join Forces to Promote Energy Efficiency
Rabat – A framework partnership agreement was signed Tuesday in Rabat by the Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Moroccan Agency for Energy Efficiency (AMEE) to promote energy efficiency.
The agreement, initialed by Minister of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education, and Scientific Research, Saaid Amzazi, and AMEE Director-General, Said Mouline, aims to implement energy-saving measures and awareness-raising and training activities on the green economy and energy efficiency within the ministry.
The agreement that will span four years is part of the implementation of the national strategy for energy efficiency.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, AMEE’s Director-General stressed the need to use energy efficiency as a key tool for good governance to reduce energy bills and achieve an increasingly significant rate of green growth.
For his part, minister Amzazi said that the training component is very present in this partnership. The AMEE will hold training sessions for the ministry’s trainers on topics related to the green economy and energy efficiency, including training of the ministry’s drivers and couriers on eco-driving, he explained.
