Earthquake in Japan: All Moroccan Nationals Are Safe – Embassy

Tokyo – All Moroccan nationals living in Japan are safe after the violent earthquake that struck the Fukushima region in northeastern Japan on Saturday, the Moroccan embassy in Tokyo said.

“The embassy is following very closely the evolution of the situation in the affected areas and remains mobilized to ensure the safety of members of the Moroccan community, in coordination with the Japanese authorities,” assured the embassy of the Kingdom in Tokyo.

A 7.3 magnitude undersea earthquake occurred Saturday off northeastern Japan, injuring more than 100 people, but no tsunami warning was issued.
