Greece: Magnitude 6.1 Earthquake Struck Crete

Athens – A magnitude 6.1 earthquake hit off the coast of the Greek island of Crete on Wednesday morning, the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) said.

“The earthquake occurred at 05:08 GMT”​​​, according to the EMSC.

“The epicenter was located 89 kilometers south of Heraklion (55 miles)”, according to the same source
