US, Thailand to Strengthen Clean Energy Cooperation
Washington – The United States and Thailand agreed to strengthen clean energy cooperation to drive economic growth, the two governments said in a joint statement on Friday.
“The United States and Thailand agreed to enhance energy cooperation to spur economic growth and sustainable energy development,” the joint statement said,
The two countries expressed commitment to strengthen their energy partnership in key areas such as energy security, power development, energy transition, clean energy technologies and energy efficiency.
They also emphasized support for constructive engagement between US and Thai private companies in the energy sector.
“Thailand and the United States discussed the future of electric vehicles, solar technology and its supply chains, grid modernization, and next-generation energy innovation technologies. These topics align with the national energy policy of both countries, and will support mutual efforts to address climate change,” the same source said.
The joint statement released by the State Department after the second US-Thailand Energy Policy Dialogue concluded in Bangkok on Thursday.
