COP 22: CFC to host ‘Climate Finance Day-2016’ on Nov. 4

London, 01/07/2016 (MAP), Casablanca Finance City (CFC) announced in London the organization of the “Climate Finance Day-2016” (CFD) conference on November 4 in Casablanca, on the sidelines of COP22 slated in Marrakech.

The announcement was made by Lamia Merzouki, CFC Deputy Director General during the latest “Business & Climat” Summit, organized in London to come up with recommendations for the 22nd UN conference on Climate Change.

The CFD conference is expected to bring together international investors, representatives of international organizations and multilateral agencies, as well as members of think tanks.

Participants will tackle issues related notably to green financing, and the private sector’s role in the climate agenda with special focus on the African continent energy and sustainable land use in agriculture.

CFD 2016 will have major international partners such as Paris EUROPLACE, the African Development Bank (AfDB), the European Investment Bank (EIB), the IDFC (International Development Finance Club), UNPRI (United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment), the Morocco’s Employers’ Association (CGEM)…

The event, called COP22, aims to present pragmatic recommendations to contribute to the financing of the international climate agenda.
