UN Commends Morocco’s Leadership in Climate Action
Geneva – Secretary General of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), Peter Taalas, commended Wednesday Morocco for its leadership in the fight against climate change and promotion of renewable energies.
During a meeting with the “Arab Group” in Geneva, the WMO Secretary General highlighted the launch by the Kingdom of the largest projects in the world in the production of solar, wind and hydroelectric power.
While discussing the issue of water stress, Taalas particularly praised Morocco’s contributions to the Water and Climate Coalition and the Kingdom’s active role in this area.
