Rabat – Secretary of State for Sustainable Development, Nezha El Ouafi, who leads the Moroccan delegation to the high-level political forum on sustainable development in New York, held several meetings with leading figures to present Morocco’s experience in sustainable development.

During this forum, being held on July 16-18 at United Nations headquarters in New York, El Ouafi will highlight the progress made in the implementation of initiatives launched by Morocco during COP 22 on climate change in Marrakech, the State Secretariat says in a statement.

El Ouafi will also meet with several leading figures with the aim of developing cooperation relations with their institutions in this field, adds the same source.

Convened under the theme “Transformation towards sustainable and resilient societies”, this high-level forum is meant to present achievements and challenges in implementing sustainable development goals, including access to safe water and sanitation to ensure access to these services for all and sustainable water resources management.
