15th International Moroccan Agricultural Exhibition Opens Doors to Public
Meknes – The 15th International Moroccan Agricultural Exhibition (SIAM), held in Meknes from 2 to 7 May, opened its doors to the general public on Friday morning after three days dedicated to professionals.
For three days, the inhabitants of the Ismaili capital and its visitors will be seduced by the festive spirit emanating from the fair, set up on Sahrij Souani Square on an area of 18 hectares, 11 of which are covered, including 10 under tents.
The 15th SIAM offers thousands of visitors, both professionals and the general public, a range of agricultural products and machinery to promote agricultural and livestock production and boost key sectors of the regional economy, including agri-food.
This edition, marked by the participation of more than 68 countries, welcomes for the first time the Village Start-ups Pavilion, a new pole created on the initiative of the General Committee of the Fair, which will host about thirty national and international start-ups around a program that combines round tables, conferences and immersive demonstrations.
Organized under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, SIAM, which is one of the largest events in Africa dedicated to agriculture and the players in the agricultural sector, is an essential meeting place to present Morocco’s progress in this field and confirm the crucial role played by agriculture as one of the main levers of economic growth.
The United Kingdom is the country of honor for this 2023 edition, which marks the return of this major event after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 crisis.
