“Eco-Schools” Program: Ibn Rochd School in Imzouren Receives Silver Certificate
Al Hoceima – Ibn Rochd Elementary School in Imzouren (Al Hoceima province) recently received the silver certificate as part of the Eco-Schools program.
The silver certificate was issued to the director of the school, during a ceremony marked by the presence of Youssef Laâmarti, official in charge of the provincial directorate of National Education in Al Hoceima, in addition to the provincial coordinator of environmental and sustainable development programs, executives from the provincial directorate of National Education, as well as students from the Ibn Rochd school.
This award, which is part of the “Eco-Schools” program led by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environment Protection, in partnership with the Ministry of National Education, was granted to this school for having treated the themes of waste management and the rationalization of water consumption.
The school is currently working on the theme of energy, with the aim of receiving the Green Flag label.
The silver certificate by the Ibn Rochd school crowns its efforts in the field of waste recycling, said Laâmarti in a statement to MAP, noting that the school is working to obtain the Green Flag label by the end of the year.
