Morocco : Green Week 2021 on March 1-7

Casablanca – The second edition of Green Week 2021 is being held from March 1 to 7, under the theme “Health and living environment, a priority for Moroccans and territories”.

This event will allow the implementation of national activities in favor of greener and fairer cities: field actions, planting and training and awareness (videoconferences), said a statement by the Association of Teachers of Life and Earth Sciences (AESVT-MOROCCO).

It will be a call to decision-makers to no longer consider access to a green space as a mere convenience, but as an essential element for health, the economy and social and cultural ties, and to reduce the inequalities of access to nearby green spaces.

In addition, it is a call to all actors, media and citizens to act individually and collectively to participate in raising awareness about the many benefits of green spaces: improved air quality and mental health, reduced risks related to obesity, diabetes and pollution, to communicate on the psychosocial risks caused by the lack of green spaces, such as increased anxiety, stress and feelings of loneliness.
