Davos-2022: Morocco’s Leadership in Renewable Energy Highlighted

Rabat – The Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, in charge of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies, Mohcine Jazouli, highlighted, at a conference in Davos, Morocco’s leadership in the field of renewable energies under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

Speaking at a conference on “Accelerating the energy transition in emerging and developing economies,” Jazouli recalled that Morocco is an example for the world and especially for emerging countries in terms of renewable energy, said a statement from his department.

Jazouli was appointed by the Head of Government to take part in the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, which runs from 22 to 26 May.

This session, which saw the participation of senior officials, ministers and chairmen of major international groups provided an opportunity to discuss the benefits and challenges of developing green hydrogen.

All the panelists emphasized the role that green hydrogen can play in meeting the challenges of global warming and contributing to a clean energy transition.

The Managing Director of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Makhtar Diop, said that “the development of green hydrogen will come from countries like Morocco.”
