Mdiq-Fnideq: Efforts to Contain Fire in Kodiat Tifour Forest Continue- Local Sources

M’diq-Fnideq – Response teams consisting of 500 members, supported by various ground and aerial intervention equipment, are working to control the fire that broke out in the Kodiat Tifour forest, local sources from the Midiq-Fnideq prefecture said.

Three Canadair aircraft were mobilized as a backup for air interventions, which have carried out, so far, nearly 40 plane operations, the same sources said.

The intervention on the ground aimed at containing the fire and preventing it from spreading to populated areas, they add.

Regarding the damage to forest cover, the flames damaged 120 hectares until Tuesday evening.
