Nigeria-Africa Summit on Investment in Natural Resources, Energy Kicks Off in Abuja
Abuja – The Nigeria-Africa Summit on Investment in Natural Resources and Energy (NAFNIS-2022) was opened Wednesday in Abuja, with the participation of Morocco.
Morocco is present at this event, held from 1 to 3 June, with a delegation consisting of Mohamed Zine, Director of the promotion and management of hydrocarbon assets at the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mining (ONHYM), Mustapha Chaib, Director of Mineral Exploration (ONHYM) and Mohamed El Haouari, Director of the pole of renewable energy and energy efficiency at the Moroccan Agency for Energy Efficiency (AMEE).
NAFNIS-2022 brings together, for three days, African stakeholders in the mining, finance, power, energy, oil and gas sectors to chart a course for the development of natural resources and energy projects in a sustainable and climate-friendly manner.
The Summit was initiated to discover solutions, showcase technologies and products that will enable Africa’s growth and industrialization in a more climate-friendly manner, while encouraging the development and financing of green energy projects.
The Summit is marked by a rich program of high-level presentations by ministers, heads of leading multinational companies, industry experts and specialists in their respective sectors.
The event aims to finance sustainable African natural resource and energy projects that are key to the transition, promote trade and knowledge sharing among African countries, and develop policies and strategies for the natural resource sector as the world moves toward a greener future.
