Summit of Climate Conscience Kicks off in Fez

Fez, 03/11/2016- (MAP) – The Summit of Climate Conscience kicked off, Thursday morning in the city of Fez, with the participation of religious and spiritual leaders, philosophical figures, activists, officials and representatives of several organizations involved in the fight against climate change.

Held under the high patronage of HM King Mohammed VI and initiated by the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE), this meeting aims to harness the spiritual heritage and ethical consciousness in its diversity to develop the foundations for a new shared ecological consciousness.

This event is initiated ahead of the 22nd Conference of the Parties to the Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP22), slated for November 7-18 in Marrakech.
