Moroccan Woman Amongst OIF Youth Competition Winners
Paris- The International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF) announced the winners of its youth innovation competition, “Innovate Today, Create the Future!”, including a Moroccan recipient in the “Environment and Climate” category.
The young Hajar El Frougui was rewarded for her project, Filteco, which proposes “an innovative filter made from clay and other natural materials, offering a sustainable and affordable solution for access to clean drinking water while supporting local craftsmanship,” according to a statement by the OIF.
The winners of the competition were selected from a pool of nearly 2,000 applicants across 57 countries following a “rigorous and objective process designed to select the best projects,” said the organization.
The other winners are Claudel Charles (Haiti) in the ‘Employment and Entrepreneurship’ category, Liliane Flore Djuikouo Nkamga (Cameroon) in the ‘Education and Training’ category, Claire Seang (France) in the ‘Sport’ category and Djibril Ndime Thiam (Senegal) in the ‘Culture and Digital’ category.
The winners will each receive a €15,000 prize along with personalized technical support for their project.
